These bumper plates have an ultra-durable design to prevent common bumper breakdowns. The rubber consistency of bumper plates is designed to produce very little to no bounce off of the floor after being dropped. Typically lifters would prefer dead bounce when attempting to lift a PR with max weights to preserve barbell longevity.
